Mahalo, this is Dr. Rob with your health blog this week from Kaanapali, Hawaii. I’m on vacation, but I wanted to discuss with you a talk I had this morning with my daughter about Chemistry and drug taking. She had a talk with her professor about Chemistry and how there is a predictable outcome.
For example, if you add A to B and C the outcome would be ABC. It should be predictable and duplicable.
My daughter asked her professor what happens if you have a medication in your body, seeing that the body is a variation of chemicals. You may take an aspirin that mixes with your body chemistry a certain way and it may take care of your headache: however, someone else may take the same aspirin and get a bleeding ulcer while another person may take an aspirin and they may experience ringing in their ears.
That’s where side effects come from; when you start adding different chemicals together there are unpredictable outcomes.
I thought I’d share this with you in this week’s blog, you never know what’s going to happen when you take something as simple as an aspirin.
Just wanted to remind you that I will be in the office on Friday morning also you can come visit us at the fair in Hermosa Beach and get adjusted for free while your friends get their spines checked for free as well!
Mahalo!
